MASON CITY – A Mason City woman accused of theft and bringing drugs into the jail had her day in court Wednesday, and she has a new felony conviction and jail sentence to show for it.
Lisa Lee Arnold, age 49, pled guilty on August 20 to a felony charge of furnishing drugs to inmates and a reduced charge of fifth degree theft. She had been arrested on April 17, 2014 at Hy-Vee West after she was caught trying to steal and had been previously banned from the store.
Arnold was given 10 days in jail by judge Annette Boehlje for the theft charge. She was also ordered to pay $527.75 in fines and court costs. She was also given a 5-year suspended prison sentence and a suspended $750 fine for the felony drug guilty plea.
Arnold was found guilty of felony C first degree burglary in Webster county in 2002 after charges were brought by Fort Dodge police. She was incarcerated in the Mitchellville prison for women for about 5 months.
