MASON CITY – Police were summoned to a Mason City trouble spot Thursday morning as a woman was seen waking up and passing out in a vehicle.
An emergency call was made Thursday morning just before 10:00 AM about a suspicious person waking up and passing out in a vehicle located in the Wal-Mart parking lot, located at 4151 4th Street SW. Upon arrival, police investigated and determined that the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Melody Rae Mcgurk of Mason City, was in possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, jailed and later released.
