Iowa man charged with sex crimes against child

IOWA FALLS – An Iowa man was in the Hardin county jail after being charged with sex crimes against a child.

Willie Clay Werner, age 64, of Blairsburg, Iowa was charged this month by the Eldora Police Department with one count of felony second degree sexual abuse and one count of indecent contact with a child. Both crimes are alleged to have occurred on July 19, 2014.  Werner was picked up in Hardin county on September 12 and jailed. He then posted bond and was released from jail.

Werner declined a court-appointed attorney.  He now awaits a September 23 hearing.
