CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was arrested on numerous charges of sexual abuse of a child.
Jeff Devries, age 50, has been charged by Floyd county prosecutors with five counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and five counts of indecent contact with a child. The crimes allegedly took place beginning in June of 2013, with the latest incident as late as August 1, 2014.
Devries was arrested on August 7, booked, and released from jail under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Corrections. He is now awaiting an August 27, 2014 court hearing.
