MASON CITY – Police went to the home of a Mason City man Saturday and arrested him for assault.
On Saturday, August 2 at about 7:33 PM, police were called to 853 8th Street SE to investigate an assault. Manuel Trevino Hernandez, age 33, was arrested at the scene on a charge of serious assault.
Hernandez was jailed and soon released, pending an unknown court date.
Hernandez at this time is awaiting a jury trial for third or subsequent offense public intoxication. He has been accused of at least three felonies in Iowa but the charges have either been dismissed or he pled to lesser charges. He owes thousands of dollars in unpaid fines and court costs and fees.
