So apparently there is a band of persons (male teens?) roaming the city pounding on doors and then running away. Two nights in a row this has been going on in certain neighborhoods in Mason City. Has anyone else experienced this? Saturday night around midnight this horde was seen pounding on doors/windows of homes and then running through Elmwood Cemetery.
The United Nations is a joke. The UN should be erecting a liberal Islamic Nation somewhere and usung world funds to finance it. Instead of Syrian snd Iraqi refugees being pipelines to Europe and/ or America, they need to form their own UN created and POLICED nation. When a nation begins with no weapons or bombs, the population can live in peace snd practice peacable Islam. The Egyptian billionaire who first suggested buying them an island was correct. Ban Ki Moon is incompetent.
The gun violence problem in America can easily be solved by adjusting sentencing and shifting focus on what crimes are actionable and worthy of incarceration. Prisons at this point should be stocked with violent offenders first. Criminals who use guns or weapons to commit crimes must face decades behind bars with no parole. Non violent crimes must be paroled and probationed. Start removing violence makers from society and place them in solitary confined situations. Violence must not be romanticized any longer.
Bernie got it right when he said Muslim states like saudi arabia and Turkey need to police their own radicals. Im not so tolerant. I despise most religion anyway, and Islam is the worst of them all in terms of freedom loving rights. America needs to define parameters to what constitutes “freedom of religion”, and any religion which violates the civil and Constitutional rights of another, including the right to life and the pursuit of happiness needs to be outlawed as a dangerous unconstitutional cult. Islam meets that criteria for banning.
That one French cop who stayed to fire it out against the shooters was bad ass. Three others fled, but that dude stayed put. He should ger promoted. Screw Bernie Sanders. Total punk. Im going with Trump.

Does anyone know why leaf bags were not picked up today by the city? Garbage and recyclables were picked up but not leaf bags.

Okay here’s some bullshit happening here and now. The Somalian guy who went apeshit crazy on hiway 106 in Clear Lake has plead “not guilty” to a grossly trumped down Disorderly Conduct charge. This guy ran cars and semis off the road, threatened to “F me up” and tried to get inside my car after he jumped in front of my car. The County Attorney’s Office needs to F’in explain themselves.

Anyone ever think that the North End is being devalued so that, eventually, certain businessmen and property developers can come in, clear it out and buy it all up for pennies on the dollars, or even use taxpayers money to clean up this problem. This is what happened in LA in the 80s during the Crack epidemic and as soon as the honest people give up, Branstad, who collects 2 pensions while working???, will offer tax incentives to a chosen few to clean the areas up and the citizens will think he is a knight in shining amour, even though our property tax money will subsidize this cleansing. Or, it might just go the way of Detroit and no one will do anything, pocket taxpayer money and complain about superficial events, since no one has any real answers that don’t involve getting the police and city council to actually do their jobs. It has happen in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo and other Iowa towns. A few developers will step in and get TIF money build apartments that are either substandard or out of reach for the average wage earner and the trouble areas will move to a different part of town and this will all start over. And No,I am not a Liberal, I am very conservative and am sick of our taxes being stolen from us. What happened to the taxes that were supposed to help schools from the Lottery and Casinos, that was the original deal for those issues yet, no one even bothers looking into that anymore or where all that Powerball and Casino revenue money has went.
