Charles City police arrest two Nashua men on unrelated charges

CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City arrested two men from Nashua over the weekend on unrelated charges.

On Saturday, July 12th at about 4:50 PM, police took a report of a shoplifter at the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue. After an investigation, 51-year-old Braighton Wilharm was arrested for fifth degree theft.

Later, at about 7:50 PM, police received a complaint about an erratic driver. Police went to the 1200 block of North Grand Avenue and conducted a traffic stop of 27-year-old Brian Bast. He was arrested for first offense operating while intoxicated.  He was released the next day pending a court date.
