HAWKEYE, IA – An Iowa teen has ben arrested and charged with sexual assault.
On June 9th, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office completed an investigation of a sexual abuse. As a result of that investigation, charges were filed on Alexander James Jones, age 15 of rural Hawkeye for sexual abuse in the second degree. The Sheriff’s office worked with the Department of Human Services in completing this investigation. The victims age and sex are not being released at this time.
Jones was arrested and charged with sexual abuse in the second degree, a class “C” felony and processed at the Fayette County Jail on June 9, 2014 and later released back to his parents. Jones was charged in Juvenile Court Services and will make an appearance later.
