Cops say Webster City man killed dad in fight

WEBSTER CITY – A Webster City man is dead, and the son is in jail facing a 1st degree murder charge.

On Monday, June 9, 2014, around 2 a.m., Webster City Police responded to a call of a deceased male at 1932 Des Moines Street in Webster City. When police arrived on scene, they found Steven James Graesch, age 61, dead.

After further investigation, officials determined that Graesch’s son, Corbin James Graesch, age 27, and Steven had an altercation sometime in the early morning hours on Saturday. Steven Graesch died as a result of the altercation.

An autopsy on Steven Graesch will be conducted tomorrow by Chief State Medical Examiner Dr. Julia Goodin at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny.

Corbin James Graesch has been charged with 1st Degree Murder. He is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail.
