MASON CITY – A concerned citizen called police when a possibly intoxicated man was allegedly snooping around and peaking into people’s garages, prompting a chase when the man wouldn’t go quietly.
Mason City police were called at about 1 PM on May 27th to investigate a report of a man on a bike who appeared to be intoxicated, looking into people’s garages at the 000 block of 13th Street NE. When police arrived, the man tried to outrun officers on his bike. Police caught the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Aaron Max Biddick of Mason City. Police said that Biddick provided false information upon his capture, due to an outstanding arrest warrant on a drug charge.
Biddick is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $5,000 cash bond on the drug charge. He was also charged with interference with official acts and providing false information.
