Charles City man skips theft trial, turns himself in

MASON CITY – A Charles City man accused of stealing from Mills Fleet Farm and then skipping his trial turned himself in to police Friday.

Tristan G. Hillhouse, age 27, failed to appear in Cerro Gordo county district court on April 4, 2014 for a trial on a charge of fifth degree theft brought by Mason City police after he was caught allegedly stealing $10 worth of merchandise at Mills Fleet Farm on March 2, 2014.

Hillhouse appeared at the Cerro Gordo County Jail on April 11 and turned himself in, and was then released.
