MASON CITY – A Rockford man working in Mason City as a mechanic was picked up March 15th in downtown Mason City on a swath of sexual abuse charges involving a child 12-13 years of age.
Floyd county deputies located 41-year-old Brent Michael Drees near at the 000 block of Second Street NW on March 15th at about 7:26 PM and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the Floyd County Jail and booked on five charges of felony C third degree sexual abuse, one charge of felony B second degree sexual abuse and one charge of child endangerment.
Police did not release further details.
The alleged crimes took place last year, in March, July and August.
Drees is being held at the Floyd County Jail on $130,000 cash-only bond. He awaits an April 7, 2014 court hearing.
