MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested early Sunday morning in connection with an alleged rape, while police are seeking another man in the same case.
Police apprehended 24-year-old Tommie Dean Laster Sunday morning at about 1:42 AM at 11 South Delaware Avenue. He was wanted on a felony charge of 3rd degree sexual abuse after an assault that allegedly took place in Mason City on May 8, 2013. Laster was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he is being held on $20,000 cash bond.
Police also said that they are seeking a second man, Tevan Isaac Corley, connected to that case. They have applied for a warrant for his arrest also for sexual assault in the third degree.

I wonder why it’s not posted anywhere that he has contacted local law enforcement and will be back in Iowa to turn himself in within next couple days? I hear he got his ticket shortly after being informed of this warrant. I, in no way mean to down-play the young woman’s claim, but let’s keep in mind…innocent til proven guilty. If u know Tev, u understand why I say this. I don’t know the alleged victim, nor do I doubt that she went thru something she should not have had to go thru. He’s coming to talk to authorities voluntarily.
They won’t be so tough in jail. They will both end up being someone’s Bitch.
