FORT DODGE – Authorities are seeking a man who escaped from a work release facility who is serving time for a violent offense.
According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 21-year-old Austin Dean Runnells is serving a 10 year sentence at the Fort Dodge Work Release Facility for Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury.
Runnells was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from a job seeking furlough. Runnells was transferred to work release on November 8, 2013. This sentence began on June 20, 2012. Information as to Runnells’ whereabouts should be reported to the Fort Dodge Police Department or Webster County Sheriff’s Department.
