
WASHINGTON – In a speech on the Senate floor Monday, Senator Harkin, a “longtime champion for rules reform,” spoke out about the current Senate obstruction over seven presidential nominations and urged his colleagues to work to reform the filibuster. Harkin argued that the debate process offer ample protections for the minority party, and neither side of the aisle should be afraid of majority rule.
