AMES – The Iowa Transportation Commission last week approved a Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy (RISE) Immediate Opportunity grant application submitted by Franklin County. Up to $322,000 will be made available to assistin the reconstruction of 3,580 feet of 90thStreet west of Franklin County Road S-41 located southwest of Hampton. This project is anticipated to be completed by June 2014.
The improvements are necessary to provide improved access to The Good Eggs, LLC, an egg production facility, and will support the creation of 46 new jobs along with $20 million in associated capital investment.
Funding for the grant comes from the county share of the RISE Fund.
