MASON CITY – The public is invited to a bat roost survey at Wilkinson Park on Monday, July 22 at 8 p.m. The event is hosted by Lime Creek Nature Center.
Following a brief presentation about bats, a bat roost in the park will be monitored to count bats as they head out to feed for the evening.
Participants at this program will enjoy a close up aerial view of these fascinating creatures as they learn why bats are so important and the main threats they are facing.
