Clear Lake McDonald’s Re-Opens Thursday

Largest McDonald’s in Iowa –

Clear Lake, IA (June 18, 2013) – The Golden Arches just got a little bigger. This Thursday, the McDonald’s at 2 Plaza Drive in Clear Lake opens its doors to the brand new restaurant. Completely rebuilt, this location is the largest McDonald’s in the state of Iowa.

“To keep up with the growing demand, we tore down the original location in March and took several months to build our new, larger McDonald’s to best serve the Clear Lake area,” says Dave Scherer, owneroperator.

Through June 27, customers can come in to win prizes, including a bike from Dr. Pepper or beginning Monday, enjoy specials on food.

The exterior of the new restaurant design departs from the traditional double mansard roof building which has been the McDonald’s trademark look since 1968. The new design is a contemporary building that draws its primary form from the arcade, a traditional architectural element that defines the front of the McDonald’s restaurant and main entry.

The interior design features natural finishes in the lobby, zoned seating areas with a variety of seating types and comfortable configurations, lower lighting levels in the dining area utilizing recessed can lights and pendant fixtures which enhance the restaurant dining experience.

Customers will be able to take advantage of new conveniences, such as free wifi, cashless payment options, and plasma televisions.

If customers are in a hurry and can’t stop inside for their favorite McDonald’s meal, the restaurant’s drive thru now has a two lane ordering system. This will make placing and picking up orders faster and easier than ever.
