MASON CITY – Mason City High School Principal TJ Jumper will be taking an administrative post within the district starting next school year, he said today via email.
“It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that I will not be the high school principal next school year as I have accepted an administrative position within the Mason City Community School District for the 2013-14 school year,” Jumper stated.
Jumper’s new job -Executive Director of Educator Quality and Leadership- was created with the retirement of District administrators Dr. Kathy Schladwieler and Gary Van Hemert. “I will still be helping students, albeit in a different capacity, by continuing to improve the quality of education we offer in Mason City.
“I will miss working directly with the students, staff, and parents at JAMS/MCHS, as we have had many outstanding experiences together that I will forever cherish,” Jumper said.
According to the email, the school district will soon be looking for jumper’s replacement as MCHS Principal.
