MASON CITY – Mason City firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 652 11th Street NE Monday evening shortly after 7:00 pm. Smoke was reported on the first and second floor.
Three males were said to be at the residence and had evacuated without any injuries.
The whole 600 block of 11th Street was blocked off so a fire hose could reach from the beginning of the block where a hydrant was located to where the fire was, in the middle of the block.
Investigation of the fire was still going on at 9:00 pm. No more information as to the cause of the fire was available.
