My fellow Christian friends, we preach of “Right to life” yet we endorse the National Rifle association, we lead our fellow Americans into war under false pretenses, we object to the right for everyone to have access to affordable healthcare, and we become disgusted when our neighbor receives welfare assistance.
These issues are also Pro-life issues.
Being Pro-life is so much more than just about abortion. It’s also about many issues such as, helping thy neighbor who is struggling to pay rent or feed their child, yet the Republican Party seems to neglect these issues. I am Pro-life, but I believe in a woman’s right to choose because regardless of how the Republican Party defines rape, rape is rape and those that have endured such a horrible disgusting act deserve the right to choose.
I believe in higher education and those wishing to attend college should have access to Pell Grants that will help them to achieve their goals, I believe in preserving Medicare for the elderly, they deserve more than a voucher that leaves them to defend for themselves, I believe that everyone was created equal and everyone should be entitled to the same basic human rights regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation, I believe that women deserve equal pay for equal work and I believe that Jesus believed in helping the poor.
My fellow friends this year we have a clear choice. We can continue the road of the elephant or the road in which Jesus took and ride in on a Donkey. Stand with me and vote for President Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party this year and remember regardless what the Republicans might say, Jesus never rode an elephant.
