On Sunday, July 22, 2012 at approximately 3:34 AM, Waterloo Police patrolling in the area of E.4th Street and Adams Street heard several gunshots on Adams Street. As officers arrived in the 300 block of Adams, several subjects and vehicles took off from the area.
Police chased after one suspect, arrested him and recovered a sawed off, double barrel shotgun.
The follow up investigation has lead to the arrest of another suspect and another saw-off shotgun recovered. Arrested was Dequane Torrel O’Neal, age 20, of 119 Peek Street, Waterloo. He has been charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of an Offensive Weapon and Going Armed with Intent. He is currently being held in the BHC Jail.
