Just go up to the Police Department at shift change when it gets warm and you will know why the motorcycles are so loud in Mason City. You would think the Chief could do something about it.
Clear Lake has hired their new Chamber Director & he’s planning to buy a house in MASON CITY! He’s 62 years old with a whoppin’ 3 years experience. He’s currently the Chamber Director in Washington, IA.
This info doesn’t mean anything to me personally, but the city of Clear Lake is buzzing.
I AM SO TIRED OF THE GARBAGE CREW THROWING MY CAN OR BINS ALL OVER. WHEN IT’S BROKE IN PIECES WHO HAS TO PAY FOR IT? ME NOT CITY HALL. TODAY I FOUND MY BIN IN THE STREET. PURE LAZINESS IF YOU ASK ME.
I pay at the pump I always have.Unless I really need to go in. But recently the ‘pay at the pump’ option doesn’t go through so you need to go in and pay. If I wanted to go in I would press pay inside. This happened to me AGAIN this morning and I wasn’t very happy. I asked the attendant why this happens he really gave no reason but when I jokingly said’ Yeah you guys just want people to come inside to pay so they end up buying more things and he actually admitted it. It really ANNOYS me to do this especially when I’m in a hurry!!
I am so tired of being told I should stop smoking or telling me where or when I can smoke. These holier than thou people who have vises or do no wrong think they have a right to tell us smokers that they can’t breath because I have a cigarette. At the same time, they’re sucking down can after can of beer or glasses of liquor, then driving home (or wherever). Probably going over to someone’s house to cheat on their spouse.
Ignoring their children, beating them, gambling or not paying their bills. And they have the nerve to say my cigarette is disgusting.
Democracy? Right?! A person can carry a gun, but not smoke a cigarette in a restaurant??? A smoking gun in someone’s hand is a lot more dangerous than a smoking cigarette.
I am so sick of standing in line behind some dumb*** who is purchasing scratch cards and then keeps turning them in for more – first of all it takes five minutes for the person to request which tickets he/she wants and then for the cashier to rip them off,etc. and then after all that the person requests cigarettes – grrrr.
The good ones are taken and all that are left are the handicapped ones!
Insurance companies ( even Medicare ) pay for VIAGRA, so why the Hell not cover birth control pills ? An insurance participant could opt in/out for BC coverage. If birth control were the man’s responsiblity you could damn well be sure BC would be covered by Insurance. And since insurance pays for VIAGRA, look at how STD cases have risen among the Senior population. YIKES! God help all the women ! It’s a sexist thing again. Birth control should be covered by Insurance.

I have my scanner turned up today and I just heard a report about a complaint about some rental house in town with 25 cats and strong urine smell. The lady for anmimal control the dispathcer called was rude and and said she would get to it when she could. Thenshe said the call should go to neighborhood services. WTH????

WHY did the city snow plows go down my street at 3pm and at 3:45pm today when we had a dusting of snow and it melted as it hit. There was NOTHING TO PLOW and being Sunday, I’m sure they were paid overtime. What a waste of money!
Mercy Women’s Health Center – My last visit there for my annual check-up was more of a “sales pitch” than a medical check-up! Come on now, try to run up the bill unnecessarily higher – what a rip-off! Pushing so many unnecesary tests is one reason health care is so high. I’m tired of being treated like a $$$$$, rather than a health patient. People need to be shoppers for health care services, rather than being told you have to do this ( stay within the Mercy system )…UGH… I hope I do not have to start drving to Rochester for my annual check-up.
No use commenting on loud motorcycle exhaust pipes because minerts one dollar bike deal to the cops keeps the ticket books put away.I think loud pipes saves lives really means loud pipes equals little dxxxs.
