Connie Quitney of Mason City was getting her car washed at Sinclair’s on South Federal and said, “This is amazing getting my car washed today, who would have believed it?”

Jade (picured), who was at West Park with her mom, was taking advantage of the unusually warm temperatures by playing on the slide, “This is fun,” she said.

We met Ken Benson, who was fishing off the Big Blue dock.  He was eating a trout that he had caught previously and was fishing for more.  He had earlier taken down his Christmas lights and was now fishing, “This is what I love to do.  This is life.  I am very fortunate,” he said.  “They have both brown trout and rainbow trout in here and I’ve caught both.  We proceeded to show us how to bait a hook with a wax worm.

Bart was on his motorcycle at Kum and Go South, getting ready to ride and Chris was sitting outside McDonald’s at the picnic table eating lunch and waiting for the bus.
