Affordables robbed Monday afternoon

At approximately 2:40 p.m. Monday afternoon  a robbery was reported at Affordables at 315 N. Delaware Ave. in Mason City.  It was said that an older gentlman, approximately in his 60’s, with a gray mustache and brown coat, fled Affordable east towards the Shalom Towers with an undetermined amount of cash.  It was also said that the robber dropped the money and continued to flee and may have been chased.

At 3:30 p.m. Mason City Police continued to investigate the area between 3rd and 4th Street NE.

    I can’t believe they named the suspect on KIMT TV and as of yet, it’s not mentioned here.

    There is probably more money than most people think, but what is sad about this is that he has stole from the handicapped and that is about as low as you can get.
