MASON CITY – Mason City police were summoned to Younkers Department Store at 102 South Delaware, in Mason City’s Southbridge Mall on a report of an employee theft shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday.
Mason City police arrested a store employee, 41-year-old Jennifer Huntrods of Mason City, on one count of theft in the 2nd degree – theft of between $1,000 to $10,000.
2nd degree theft is a class D felony. If convicted, is punishable by up to five years in prison and up to a $7500 fine.
Huntrods was transported and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail and held until an appearance before a magistrate Friday morning in which she was released on her own recognizance pending further court proceedings.
