As a result of the stop, Ashley Ledoux, age 26, of 501 North Massachusetts Ave., Mason City, was arrested on two outstanding Cerro Gordo County warrants. Ashley Ledoux had been originally charged with possession of contraband in a correctional facility, a class D felony, after she was found with marijuana in the Cerro Gordo County jail on November 20, 2010.
Through a voluntary negotiated plea in Cerro Gordo County District Court the charge was reduced to possession of a controlled substance a serious misdemeanor an application of the public defenders office. On June 6th judge James Drew sentenced Ashley Ledoux to serve four days in jail to be served within 90 days.
Ledoux never served the four days in jail in the allotted amount of time and subsequently a warrant was issued for her arrest to force her to serve the four days in jail. In addition, a contempt of court hearing was set for October 19th, 2011 for which Ashley Ledoux did not appear. An additional warrant was issued for failure to appear.
Ashley Ledoux is currently being held in the Cerro Gordo County jail to serve the mittimus of four days in jail, a $2000 cash bond pending a contempt of court hearing.
Robert Ledoux, age 25, of 3830 4th Street SE, Mason City, was also arrested as a result of the stop for interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. He has been released from Cerro Gordo County jail after pleading not guilty. A trial date has been set for November 16th at 9:30 a.m.
Sheryl Jervis, age 45, of 512 8th Street SW, Hampton, was also arrested on an outstanding Butler County warrant for failure to appear to court on a theft in the 5th degree charge in relation to writing a bad check to Allimont Pharmacy in the amount of $97.
