Monday night at about 9:55 p.m. a male subject entered the Days Inn Motel located at 2301 4th Street SW, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
Subject is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, thin build, dark hair and dark eyes. Subject was last seen wearing a light blue long sleeve dress shirt, blue jeans and a black newsboy type hat.
Subject left on foot with a undisclosed amount of cash.
Robbery in the 1st degree is a class B felony punishable by up to a $25,000 fine and 25 years in prison.
Agencies assisting were Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, 3 K-9 units.
