Beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 7:00 a.m., the Mason City Utility Division will begin Water Main repairs at East State Street and South Carolina Avenue. East State Street will be closed to through traffic from South Carolina Avenue to North Connecticut Avenue. The projected time for repairs is expected to be 5 days. The public is asked to use an alternate route around the work zone.
Water service will be shut off in this area on September 6th during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Water services affected will be on State Street from 525 East State Street east to 635 East State Street. All of Willow Drive will also be affected.
Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone.
