Online court records show that on October 25, 2010 the Garner Police Department filed a criminal complaint accusing Justin Lee Boeset, 19, of Garner of Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree a class C felony (Iowa code 709.4).
Through a negotiated voluntary guilty plea Boeset was found guilty instead of 709.11(c) Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor, on June 28, 2011 in Hancock County District Court.
As a result of Boeset’s conviction, Judge Bryan H. McKinley sentenced him to 120 days in jail with all but 14 suspended. He must also complete 2 years probation with the department of corrections and pay $385.00 dollars in room and board for his jail sentence. A $625.00 fine was suspended by McKinley. Boeset is also listed on the Iowa Sex Offender website.
