Supervisors table sale of land to Croell

The Cerro Gordo County Supervisors tabled a a resolution to sell land to Croell Redi-Mix at Tuesday’s meeting. The issue will be on next week’s agenda. A courthouse remodel project bid was awarded to Kramer Petersen Builders, Inc.|The Cerro Gordo County Supervisors tabled a a resolution to sell land to Croell Redi-Mix for $154,900 at Tuesday’s meeting.

The item was tabled due to the absence of Phil Dougherty, who had a medical emergency. Several people were in attendance to discuss the matter and left as soon as the item was tabled.

A third floor courthouse remodel project bid was awarded to Kramer Petersen Builders, Inc. in the amount of $64,831. The bids that came in, 3 in total, were all well below the anticipated amount of around $90,000.

The County Engineer reported that mostly normal road work is underway around the county, and most road projects are “going well.” Dust control was mentioned as an ongoing issue.

In other business, a fireworks permit was OK’d; a manure management plan was OK’d; Precinct Atlas software cooperation with three more counties was OK’d; and taxes were abated for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in a drainage ditch area. Appointments were made to boards and commissions.
