My father-in-law was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer early November, after 6weeks of Chemo and radiation, he underwent surgery in Iowa City to have his Esophagus removed. Then in February he was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and had his Thyroid removed in early March. I am having a Benefit Sunday April 3rd for him and his wife due to expenses incurred while he has been off work from IMT in Garner, Iowa. The benefit is at the Ventura Community Center at 1pm. A live auction, silent auction, bake sale, Kid’s Corner, and Drawing will be going on. We have various items donated like 2 Amana Microwaves, a diamond plated tool cabinet and various gift certificates available. Many other big items up for auction, come check it out and have a free-will donation meal as well.
