The Panthers’ two-day total stands at 300-291–591.
Sophomore Yarri Bryn fired a career-best round of 68, moving himself into a tie for 40th place on the individual leaderboard. Freshman Kyle Beversdorf backed up his first-round 72 with a one-over-par 73 on Friday.
Sophomore Braden Gaal and freshman Michael Wetrich each shot 75 for the second round. Senior Jared Doerfler shot 76.
After firing a career-best 68 on Thursday, senior Mason Linn posted another solid round of 72 to stand in a tie for 22nd place overall.
The Desert Shootout is a three-day tournament with 18 holes played each day. Play will conclude Saturday at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear.
