City Council:
In regards to the appointments I just read in the Globe Gazette about Mayor Bookmeyer’s appointments to the human rights commission I feel I have been treated unfairly.
February 3, 2011 I spoke to the mayor on the phone, and asked him about an interview, he stated he did not know what he was going to do. I told him I needed some idea of time so I could set up my schedule. He said he understood. I never heard back from him. I feel I was treated on unfairly for not even being considered or interviewed to be a commissioner.
I have been a friend of the commission since 2009, I know how the process works. I also had the recommended from the commission. The Mayor stated he wants the best qualified people on boards and commissions. It must be just words. If I am qualified to be a friend of the commission for 2 years am more than qualified to be a human rights commissioner.
Cordially,
