MacNider Art Museum’s Films in February, Movies in March Continues with My Architect

The MacNider Art Museum’s 2011 Winter Film Series, Films in February, Movies in March, continues Saturday, February 26th, at 2:00 p.m. with My Architect. This is the fourth installment in the 2011 Film Series. Admission is free and open to the public. Popcorn will be provided.

My Architect follows director Nathaniel Kahn’s search to understand his father, noted architect Louis Kahn, who died bankrupt and alone in 1974. Louis Kahn had two illegitimate children with two different women outside of his marriage. Son Nathaniel always hoped that someday his father would come and live with him and his mother, but Kahn never left his wife. Nathaniel travels the world visiting his father’s buildings and haunts in this film, meeting his father’s contemporaries, colleagues, students, wives, and children.

My Architect is a 2003 documentary feature. It is not rated and is 116 minutes long.
