Annual Kite Festival February 19th

(From City of Clear Lake newsletter)

The 10th annual “Color the Wind” kite festival will be held on Saturday, February 19th, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is scheduled to be held downtown, at the seawall. However, if the ice isdetermined to be insufficient at the seawall, McIntosh Woods will be the alternate location for the event.

Your old favorites will be back, plus Fire and Ice will once again be performing their choreographed “pairs” program. In addition to all the kites, numerous banners and ground displays will add to the festivities.

Children may especially enjoy walking through the schools of brightly colored fish or laying under the big red bouncy ball. Visitors will have plenty of great photo opportunities.

Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase. You can warm up in the Lakeview Room across the street from the Lake while you watch the kites. Don’t miss the festival this year!|
