A source close to the Wanda Kruse criminal case has confirmed today that the Hancock County Attorney who was prosecuting the case has withdrawn.
Karen Kaufman-Salic withdrew from the case Wednesday morning. A special prosecutor will be appointed.
There is no word yet on the change of venue request from Kruse’s lawyer, nor the discovery information her lawyer requested from the prosecutor.
The source told NorthIowaToday.com “only 3 weeks until court and they are not agreeing to change the date.”
