The tour was coordinated by the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation with Gregg Gillman and his team. Mayor Bookmeyer told NorthIowaToday.com that the tour would help send a message to local businesses. “We are partners in this community. We value you and your employees in this town. How can we help you meet your challenges?”
Other officials who participated in the tour were Robin Anderson of the Mason City Chamber, City Administrator Brent Trout, Terry Schumaker from NIACC and Erica Genise of the EDC.
Tours of Vi-Cor, Armour and Mercy Hospital have already taken place. Tours of Kraft Foods, Golden Grain, and others are scheduled.
