Can you play at offshore casinos from your state? Offshore casinos accept real-money players from many US states, but no state licenses them, so the rules that apply to you are the ones where you live. Below is a 2026 map of what major states regulate at home, plus four offshore casinos we checked on October 5, 2026.
The 2026 state map: what each state regulates at home
| State | Regulated in-state |
|---|---|
| California | Tribal casinos, card rooms and the state lottery |
| Florida | Seminole Tribe casinos and mobile sports betting run through the tribe |
| Illinois | Land casinos and online sports betting |
| Maryland | Six casinos, mobile sports betting and fantasy contests |
| Michigan | Online casino, poker and sports betting, plus land casinos |
| New Jersey | Online casino, poker and sports betting, plus Atlantic City |
| New York | Land casinos and mobile sports betting |
| Ohio | Casinos, racinos and mobile sports betting |
| Pennsylvania | Online casino, poker and sports betting, plus land casinos |
| Texas | State lottery, horse racing and limited tribal gaming |
Seven states run regulated online casinos of their own: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Maine has legalized them too, but its apps hadn’t launched as of October 2026.
Everywhere else, the real-money online casinos you’ll find are offshore.
What should players in Texas, California and Florida know?
Each of these three has its own mix of rules, and none of them has a state-run online casino.
Texas. There are no commercial casino resorts. The state runs a lottery, licenses horse racing and has limited tribal gaming. The Legislature meets in odd-numbered years, so 2027 is the next regular session.
California. Tribal casinos and card rooms carry the in-person market. Voters turned down both sports betting measures in 2022, Propositions 26 and 27, and online sweepstakes casinos have been banned since January 1, 2026 under AB 831.
Florida. The Seminole Tribe runs the casinos and, under its compact with the state, statewide mobile sports betting. Online casino games aren’t part of that deal.
Which states allow offshore casinos?
None, if “allow” means a license. Offshore casinos operate outside the state system, and no state approves or regulates them.
What they do is accept players. So the answer for Texas, California, Florida or anywhere else is the same. Offshore sites accept players there, and you should check your own state’s rules before you deposit.

What do offshore casinos offer US players?
All four below pay in dollars, take Lightning Bitcoin from $5 and pay out by Bitcoin. A crypto wallet is the easiest way to bank with any of them.
Slotocash. Online at slotocash.im since 2007, with 400+ games. The welcome pack runs up to $7,777 plus 300 free spins over five deposits of $20 or more, at 25x. Withdrawals are processed within 2 business days.
Uptown Aces. A 250% match up to $2,500 with code UNPACK on a $25 deposit, 30x, with no max cashout. New accounts also get $10 free on joining.
Grande Vegas. A 150% match up to $300 with code WELCOME, and a $25 free chip using the code on the promotions page. Deposits made without a bonus earn 25% cashback.
Vegas Casino Online. Online since 1999. Claim a $20 free chip with VEGAS20, then 400% up to $500 with 400BONUS. Payouts are processed in 2 business days.
How much does a welcome bonus really cost to clear?
Wagering is the total you bet before bonus money becomes cash you can withdraw.
Take the first Slotocash step, SLOTO1MATCH, at 25x on deposit plus bonus. Deposit $30, get $60, and you play through $2,250 in slot bets. Keep each spin at $10 or less while the bonus is active.
All five Slotocash welcome steps use the same 25x. Slots, keno and scratch cards count toward the total. There’s no max cashout on the match, so a big hit stays yours.
How do you check your own state’s rules?
Start with your state’s gaming regulator or attorney general. Most of their websites spell out what is licensed.
Look at whether online casino play is regulated, whether sweepstakes sites are restricted, and what the minimum age is. Rules change, as California’s sweepstakes ban showed this year, so check again before a big deposit.
Tax is a separate question. The IRS treats gambling winnings as taxable income, wherever you play.
Gamble with a plan
Decide your budget before you log in and stop when it’s spent. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org. You must be of legal gambling age to play.
Your first step
If your state has no online casino of its own and its rules allow offshore play, Slotocash is the simplest place to begin. Open a free account, verify it once, and use SLOTO1MATCH on a $20 deposit for a 200% match and 100 spins on Coyote Cash 2.
