NEW HAMPTON — Sally Jane West, 65, of New Hampton, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family.

Born July 15, 1960, in Illinois, Sally built a life centered on family, hard work and care for others. She attended school in St. Elmo, Illinois, later earned her GED, and continued her education in nursing. She went on to earn degrees through Riverland Community College and the University of Phoenix, completing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Sally’s professional life reflected her compassion and determination. She began as a CNA, briefly worked in cosmetology, and later became a nurse. She spent 18 years at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where she was known for her steady work ethic and caring approach to patients and coworkers.

She married Jerry West on July 9, 1992, after the couple met while working at Fedders in Illinois. The couple moved to New Hampton, where they made their home and raised a family rooted in love, commitment and hard work.

Family was at the center of Sally’s life. She was known for hosting gatherings, welcoming loved ones into her home, and making sure those around her felt cared for. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she had a way of making her family feel deeply loved.

Sally also enjoyed fishing in her younger years, warm weather, trips to the casino, reading, Game Show Network programs and WWE. She is remembered as practical, organized, generous and strong — someone who gave to others and brought comfort to those around her.

She is survived by her children, Joe Logue of Osage, John Logue of Springfield, Missouri, George Logue of Osage, and Joyce Meyerhoff of New Hampton; siblings; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry West; her parents; a brother; and other family members.
