Minnesota teen killed in Iowa highway rollover crash

LEWIS, IOWA — An 18-year-old Minnesota woman died Saturday evening following a single-vehicle rollover accident in rural Cass County. The Iowa State Patrol has identified the deceased as Cierra Jo Bullock of Glencoe, Minnesota.

LEWIS, IOWA — An 18-year-old Minnesota woman died Saturday evening following a single-vehicle rollover accident in rural Cass County. The Iowa State Patrol has identified the deceased as Cierra Jo Bullock of Glencoe, Minnesota.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:13 p.m. on May 9, 2026, near the intersection of Highway 6 and 582nd Street. According to investigators, a 2025 Kia driven by 18-year-old Dakota Jean Bullock, also of Glencoe, was traveling eastbound on Highway 6 when the vehicle left the roadway in a curve.

The car rolled into the ditch, ejecting the passenger, Cierra Jo Bullock, from the vehicle. Authorities stated that the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Dakota Jean Bullock, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained only minor injuries.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Lewis Fire. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Richter’s Towing, and the victim was transported by Rolling Funeral Home. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol Post 3.
