MASON CITY – Larry James Robinette, a Mason City man remembered by loved ones as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at his home. He was 69.
Robinette was born June 18, 1956. His death leaves a large family and many friends mourning a man whose life was deeply connected to those closest to him.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; his children, Jeffrey Robinette and wife Melinda, Brent Robinette and wife Alicia, Travis Robinette, Miranda Bohl and husband Philip, and Ramona Alden and husband Brad; and his grandchildren, Brody, Mason Bohl, Jaxson, Riley Robinette, Zoe Robinette and Paisley Alden.
He is also survived by his father, Larold Robinette; sisters Becky Rusnak and husband Edward, and Jody Mallen and husband Dennis; brothers-in-law Gene Anderson and wife Gayle, Orville Anderson and wife Nancy, and Henry Anderson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Robinette was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Robinette; father-in-law Darrell Anderson; and in-laws Scott Anderson, Lamar Anderson and Penny Anderson.
A visitation and celebration of life were held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel in Mason City.
