WAUKEE – The Iowa MADD banquet was held on November 7, 2025, in Waukee, Iowa, where law enforcement officers were honored for their work against impaired driving, and Clear Lake officer Blaine Pavelka was among the honorees.
Reportedly, officers from several departments, including Le Mars, Keokuk, and the marine cadets, received “Hero Awards” at the event.
Officer Blaine Pavelka received a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hero Award for his dedication to removing impaired drivers from Iowa roads.
Officer Pavelka accepted his award that evening at the Iowa MADD banquet in Waukee with Chief Mike Colby and Lt. Bossard also in attendance showing support for Officer Pavelka and all award recipients.
MCI Military Cadets of Iowa, Inc. recognized officer Pavelka, and said, “Our alumni go on to do great things!”
Drunk drivers are scourge on Iowa’s roads and highways, needlessly allowing booze and their own selfishness to put others at risk of death or injury just so they can tool around in their vehicles.
