OBIT: Larry Vernon Snyder

Lawrence (Larry) Vernon Snyder, 81, of Mason City, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Fullerton Funeral Home.

Lawrence (Larry) Vernon Snyder, 81, of Mason City, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa. Funeral arrangements are with Fullerton Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd St SE, Mason City. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to service time. Larry will be laid to rest following the service at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Larry was born on November 22, 1943, in Mason City to Vernon and Margaret (McNutt) Snyder. He attended Mason City schools and graduated in 1962. On March 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Maria (Baltierra) Snyder at Holy Family Catholic Church and to their union, three children were born. Larry worked as a manager in manufacturing at varies places including: White Farm, Heat & Glo and IMT. In Larry’s younger years he enjoyed golfing, hunting and watching NFL football. Despite his health battles, Larry was a fighter and never gave up. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maria Martina Snyder of Mason City; sons, Mark (Amanda) Snyder of Odessa, TX and Matthew Snyder of Mason City; daughter, Julie Meyer and friend Steve of Lake City, MN; brothers, Richard Snyder of Davis, CA and William Snyder of Estherville, IA; sister, Peggy (Larry) Larimore of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Jacob (Brianna) Meyer of Red Wing, MN, Tanisha (Josh) Wise of Lake City, MN, Jacob Flores, Caleb Flores and Isaiah Flores all of Odessa, TX and great-grandchildren, Kyla Meyer, Kyrie Wise and Violet Wise.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
