Orlyn H. Milius, 97, of Tripoli, died Monday, October 13, 2025, at Tripoli Nursing & Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli with Rev. Brad Braley officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. Visitation will precede services at the Church on Friday starting at 9:30 AM. Memorials may be made in Orlyn’s name to Faith United Church of Christ or Tripoli Nursing & Rehab.

Orlyn Henry, son of Louis and Ella (Boeckmann) Milius was born September 2, 1928, at the family’s home, rural Black Hawk County. He attended Country School at Douglas #7 and graduated from Tripoli High School in 1947. On September 28, 1947, he was united in marriage with Doris Ulrichs at Pleasant Valley Church, rural Clarksville. Orlyn worked at Kramer Produce in Tripoli, Carnation in Waverly, Tripoli Schools, Buhr Chevrolet in Tripoli and retired from Kevin’s Auto Repair in Tripoli in 2000. He was a long time member of Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. Orlyn enjoyed fishing, trapping, playing and watching sports, and antiquing with his wife.

Orlyn is survived by his children, Richard (Karen) Milius of Tripoli, Sandra (Glen) Ladage of Tripoli, and Kevin (Ramona) Milius of Lansing; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Lesley) Milius, Brian (Helen) Milius, Kristi Ladage, Erica (Dan) Hill, Devin Milius, Adrianne (Charlie) Knight, Benjamin (Jennifer) Milius, and Ethan (Caitlin Hess) Milius; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Asher, Kayla, Kimberly, Blake, Cameron, Teddy, Ella, Kiya, Hailey, Hunter, Haiden, Marin, Harper, Evanne, and Otto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; son, Rodney; and brother, Ronald.
