MASON CITY – The Mason City Fire Department celebrated the Grand Reopening of its headquarters on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at 350 5th Street SW in Mason City. The event marked the completion of a major renovation and addition project that has modernized and expanded the department’s facilities.
This $5.8 million upgrade includes nearly 5,000 square feet of new space and extensive improvements to existing areas, enhancing firefighter readiness, energy efficiency, security, and comfort with updated dorms and workspaces.
The public was invited to attend the ceremony, which featured remarks, a ribbon-cutting, and guided station tours to showcase the department’s new and improved headquarters.
