CEDAR FALLS – A party bus struck a pickup truck in Cedar Falls after the pickup driver blew through a stop sign, police say, and a number of people were hurt in the incident, including both drivers.

On September 20, 2025, at approximately 8:17 PM, Cedar Falls Police and Fire were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Union Road and 1st Street.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a northbound 2020 Chevy Silverado pick-up failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck by a westbound Dolly’s party bus.

Both drivers and one bus passenger were transported to area hospitals for evaluation.

There were approximately 40 passengers on the party bus at the time of the accident. Several passengers on the bus had minor injuries.

The investigation continues and charges are pending.

Cedar Falls Police and Fire were assisted by Mercy One Paramedics, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department and Black Hawk County Dispatch.
