David Duane Lynch age 59 of Mason City, IA, formerly of New Hampton, died at his home, Friday, September 5, 2025 in Forest City, IA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton with Rev. Chris Podhajsky and Rev. Paul Lippstick celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Hampton.
Friends may greet the family beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, at the church.

David was born on November 30, 1965 to Duane and Patricia (Baltes) Lynch in New Hampton.
He graduated from New Hampton High School in 1984. He attended NIACC and studied electronic technology. He worked at Johnson Control in security systems for 30 years, where he utilized his many talents. He treasured the many relationships he developed during his career.
David married Angie Hibbert on October 24, 1992. The couple later divorced. In 2000, he and Kate Evans welcomed a son, Evan Patrick. Evan was David’s greatest pride and joy.
David enjoyed spending time on the family farm, whether it was helping his dad, fishing at the pond with his mom, or celebrating family reunions. Time spent with lifelong friends hunting and fishing created many memories.
David will be remembered for his friendly smile and warm personality. He was kind and often thought of others before himself.
David will be missed by his son, Evan Lynch, Evan’s mother and David’s close friend Kate Evans, both of Mason City; mother, Patricia Lynch of New Hampton; two sisters Pam (Hugh) Howerton of San Antonio, TX, Penny (Scott) Perkins of New Hampton; nieces Amanda Meyer (Mike DAuria) Elizabeth (Nick) Campanella, Emma Perkins, Andraya (Isaac Cavozos) Meyer; nephew Zachary (Jenny Boothe) Perkins, as well as many close friends and extended family.
David was preceded in death by his father Duane Lynch in 2024; his paternal grandparents Ed and Leone Lynch; his maternal grandparents Virgil and Phyllis Baltes; as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.
