Candi attended Creston High School, Southwestern Community College, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Candi worked at the Douglas County Youth Center in Omaha, Nebraska and Green Valley Area Education Agency in Creston. She was active with home-daycare, volunteering at schools, and keeping up with athletic and band events. She enjoyed free time, after moving, with Tom, to Emmetsburg, Iowa.
The most important things in her life were family, friends, and antiquing. Candi greatly enjoyed looking for unique items and bargains. Her interests included travel, international food, and sweepstakes. Candi’s humor was appreciated by many and her passion for life enriched others.
Candi is survived by her husband Tom, son Nathan, mother Carolyn, sister Shari Eivins, brother Jeff, in-laws Kathy and Doug Rice, Jeff and Gretchen Brotherton, nieces and nephews, numerous uncles and aunts, many cousins, and friends.
