Maria Aguilar De Rodriguez, 76, of Latimer, passed away, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at her home. Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, Hampton. Funeral service and burial will be at Palm Valley Cemetery, Pharr, Texas.
Maria D Aguilar De Rodriguez was born December 25, 1948, in Mexico, a daughter of Pedro and Baudelia (Aguilar) Mendoza. While in her 20’s Maria came to the United States where, with her husband, Pedro Rodriguez, raised their 9 children. Pedro passed away in January 2023.
Maria was a very loving person who loved to cook and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would travel to Texas, South Dakota and Minnesota to visit family and had another trip planned soon. Maria was raised in the Catholic Church and recently joined St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer.
Cherishing her memory are her children: Jose (Maribel) Rodriguez; Maria T. (Guadalupe) Salinas; Pedro Rodriguez, Jr.; Jaime (Blanca) Rodriguez; Francisca (Loren) Heitland; Martha (Juan) Cantu; Alfredo (Jasmin) Rodriguez; Arturo (Dora) Rodriguez; Rosalinda (Ramiro) Jimenez; 30 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
